Great food and the wait staff are great

Beyond excellent Chinese food. Some genuine dishes that I’ve grown to love. Many interesting flavors & tastes. The spicy soup dumplings are so delightful. It’s not too spicy so if you have a low tolerance for spice, you’ll be ok. Try the crispy chicken it was exactly that - super crispy and super tasty. Very busy on the day we went but we didn’t have to wait long.

Best Chinese food in NJ for me.

Got a couple recommendations to try this place out. Food is good and very spicy. Service was quick and the waiters gave great suggestions since it was our first time. I’d say my favorite was the 3 pepper chicken. Also, can’t find many places who make dry sautéed string beans as well as China Chalet. Think there’s only one other place I’ve been to that has been this good!

Went in for lunch. Highly recommend it. Lunch specials $9.95 include soup, entree and rice. Choice of soup and rice and tons of entree choices. We had generals and chicken and broccoli. Both delicious. Atmosphere is very nice busy for lunch staff was very attentive. Definitely recommend.

This is actually the move of a restaurant that used to be on the Upper East Side, but the restaurant chef moved out here to Florham Park. In fact some of the serving staff also made it out here. Have a great selection of both regular Chinese American food and some more authentic dishes particularly on the weekends are special holidays. I particularly like the dan dan noodle and their lunch special might be a little more expensive than the others in the area, but the quality is great. The scallion and flounder fillet dish is fantastic and their hot and sour soup is not bad. I also like there pork in Peking sauce. And they are also super fast, often dishes come out in less than 10 minutes.

Excellent food!! You must try three pepper chicken if you like spicy food!

This is one of the most authentic Sichuan style cuisine places in the Tri-state region. The owners and chef are all from Chengdu. They really brought out the Sichuan character in the food they serve. This is not my first time here and the food was as delicious as I remembered. I highly recommend here.

Best authentic and reasonable chinese food in the county.

First time there, the food was great ,definitely enjoyed everything we had ,the steamed pork buns are a must.

I Went for first time for dinner with my friend. Foods are yummy and we really enjoyed our meal. Food had great flavor. Place is very clean and service was nice. I will definitely return again to this place.

We had Bronzino Black Beans(Spicy) and Shrimp Chow Fun. They were good! The only issue was with the soup that came in with the Shrimp Chow Fun. I choose the Egg soup and it was basically row egg! It might be just me, but it wasn’t that good!

Food is amazing. Service is fast and the prices are very decent... You can have better food at better price than a diner. Many options to share and try new things every time. Very recommendable.

Great procedures. They have a drawer for the food and money and plexiglass to separate you from them. Credit card machine is outside. Very smart.

You go there once - you like the place.You go there the 2nd time - you'll love it. My recommendation is to go with a friend who knows the dishes well. There are a few dishes(or edits to dishes) that aren't on the menu, only someone who knows would be able to guide you. Let the person who knows the dishes order. You'll thank me once you're done. Do not, I repeat do not be tempted to order the familiar stuff here... The service could be a little better but the food is excellent.

Very good experience! Friendly and extremely efficient staff. The food was excellent. Even my picky 6,5 year old ate a lot and was happy.

Went there with family. The service and the food was phenomenal. They were very kid friendly as in the waiters interacted with my daughter, brought her food as soon as possible so that she can start eating. We had the vegetable dumplings, chicken fried rice, Singapore noodles, 3 pepper chicken and fish with Napa cabbage. The hot and sour soup was mediocre. Is definitely a place for repeat visits.

Decent American-Chinese restaurant with consistently savory food and good service. One of our regular lunch spot and their dishes have generous portions and really reasonable prices. Be advised parking is a pain around lunchtime.

I ordered lunch from here today after reading all of the wonderful reviews. Boy am I disappointed! The "fried rice" taste like plain white rice, looks it too only there are some veggies in it. The wonton soup broth is almost clear and has zero flavor and the wontons just taste like rice pasta. I will say the food seems fresh but what good is food that has absolutely no flavor to it?

Really wanted to like this place since I pass it on my way home. Like the other reviewers said it was very disappointing. The wonton soup had no flavor and the dumplings were very soft , almost raw. The Chicken Fried rice had so little chicken I almost thought I had the wrong order until I saw a few stringy pieces in the rice. The fried dumplings were very thick and dry. This was the first and last time I will be stopping here.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here but I always received good food at this stylish Chinese restaurant. The thing that always struck me was how many Chinese people I saw eating here. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Chinese people or any people for that fact. I mention this as a huge vote of confidence having a room filed with the very people that one would hope eat that food. And here they do! The typical Chinese favorites are kicked up a notch. I remember a dish with bacon was fabulous. This is not your typical Chinese restaurant.

This might be the best Chinese restaurant in the area. They have a huge selection, particularly of very good, classic Sichuan dishes that are hard to find at your typical suburban Chinese restaurant (e.g., three pepper chicken, double cooked pork, mapo tofu). Highly recommended.

The food is good. But only have one star because when we bought our bill, all the dishes are 2 or 3 dollars more than on the menu. They explained the dishes we had are traditional Chinese version, which are 2 or 3 dollars more expensive. However, we were neither notified about this when we placed the order, nor they had any menu for the ‘traditional Chinese version’. This makes us feel very uncomfortable.

Great lunch menu. Reasonable prices. Good portions. I went with the Shrimp Chow Fun. While the shrimp were true to their name - very small - the flavors and textures were good. The lunch staff were keen to move things quickly, to ensure wrapping up within the work-time lunch window.Comfortable and nicely appointed sitting area. Fairly large. Tables are a little crowded.Overall, a good experience.
